Bait n switch in the carpet cleaning industry is when a company will advertise a promotion or special to get you to schedule an appointment.  For instance they will quote you $50 to clean 5 rooms, when the carpet cleaner arrives he says to the homeowner that the promotional price will not get the carpets clean or take the spots out.  He tells the homeowner that they will need to pay for the additional chemicals and cleaners that will do the job.  This increases the bill by a lot.  I have heard of people paying over $500 to clean 3 rooms of carpet.  The homeowner agrees to the new amount because they are already inconvenienced with moving the funiture and scheduling time away from their busy schedules.  Allied Carpet Care does not use Bait n switch tactics.  We clean a lot of carpets where the customer leaves a check for the total we quote over the phone. 

Today  I went to a carpet cleaning job in which the homeowner had cleaned the own carpets in the past.  They had the best intentions when they cleaned, but left a lot of soapy residue behind and it cost them as much money to rent the machine and do it themselves as it would to pay a professional.  When I arrived I noticed the carpets were dirtier than normal and I applied a defoamer.  The defoamer strips the soap from the carpets and removes the soapy residue.  We do not have any additional charges for this service and they were a pleased customer.

Today I was on a job in Boise and the customer had their carpets cleaned in the past by another company.  The people were surprised when I removed the rust stain on their carpets.  It took me only 10 seconds to remove the stain and the customers thought they would have to live with this stain forever.  Another pleased customer.  Yes rust can easily come out of carpet if you carry the right chemicals.  I use T-rust
